Abstract

An influence of electronic excitation on a shock wave structure in oxygen is estimated. Electron-excited molecules participating in chemical reactions behind the shock wave are considered as separate components of a mixture both in their basic and singlet conditions. A mathematical model of the process is suggested as well as a composition is revealed for considered components, electron-chemical reactions and accepted values for speed constants of the reactions. Gas parameters behind the front of the stationary shock wave are simulated. Estimation results are presented to demonstrate an influence of electronic excitation on the parameter distribution for the flow behind the stationary shock wave.
