Abstract

The load power of a radar appears to be proportion to the antenna concentration factor in several radar types, e.g. in environmental radar. The radar angular resolution depends on the concentration angle. A problem of field distribution in antenna aperture is to provide minimal concentration angle at specified concentration factor. The problem is solved using partial diagram technique, Lagrange multipliers method as well as implicit function approach. Collinear array, linear antenna, and circular aperture antenna cases are considered. The result obtained appears to be suitable for antennas with either rectangular, or circular aperture.
