Abstract

A mathematical model and calculation of gas distribution results is presented for jet expansion inside vacuum chamber of operating plasma accelerator. A numerical reconstruction is carried out for spatial distribution of ionic current in the jet subject to a charge — exchange process provided with interactions between accelerated ions and residual gas inside of the vacuum chamber. A thrust of the accelerator is estimated basing on corrected measurement and calculation results for the ionic currents.
