Abstract

The paper presents results of calculation of aerodynamic characteristics of typical aerospace vehicle, obtained with the Monte-Carlo method based on two different gas-surface interaction models — Maxwell model and Cercignani—Lampis—Lord (CLL) model. With the use of these models sensitivity of force and moment coefficients of vehicle in hypersonic free molecular flow to variation oj accommodation and temperature properties of surface has been studied with multiple molecular reflections taken into account. Corrections to aerodynamic characteristics, given by CLL model, are defined. The technique and results can be used for aerospace vehicle design.
