Abstract

Measurement techniques are devised to study unsteady isothermal and nonisothermal gas flows in a tube. Based on these techniques some experimental data are obtained for profiles of longitudinal and radial velocity components. It is ascertained that an axial velocity structure reorganization takes place within unsteady gas flows in tubes. This reorganization is realized mainly in some intermediate zone within the flow determined with such condition as y/R= 0,05 .. 0,4, where y is a distance from the tube wall, R is the tube radius.
