Abstract

The description of physical-mechanical properties on a nanometer scale makes possible to study the patterns of behavior oj surface layers and submicron volumes, clusters. This is especially important in the development of nanotechnology and as a consequence there is continuous downsizing by micromechanical and electrical components, film coatings and etc. Nanoindentation is the basic method which makes possible to test the physical-mechanical properties in nanoscale and determine up to twenty different properties
