Design of passenger airplanes taking into account operational uncertainty factors related to aircraft fleet structure

Abstract

The article substantiates the necessity of taking into account the uncertainties during the process of design of passenger airplane as a part of an optimal (reasonable) fleet. Main uncertainties are sorted into groups. After that the uncertainties with most influence on the design are selected. The appropriate methods for taking the chosen uncertainties into consideration are proposed.
