Abstract

A stability problem for steady-state motion is considered as applies to underwater cavitating vehicle equipped with a T-shaped wedge-like aft wing. Similar problem is discussed as well for the vehicle with an annular wing which is involved into generation oj an aft cavity with negative cavitation numbers. Steady-state stability conditions are derived analytically for the first problem and numerically for the second one basing on integration of the vehicle equations of motion. Both cases are considered in regard to the vehicle motion with a constant depth value.
